Our
European Country line features genuine nineteenth and early twentieth
century European case goods that have been imported from overseas
and then refurbished and refinished by August-Jackson. All of these
pieces have been reclaimed from the past and finished with new moldings,
accents, and paint. These forms are genuine antiques; therefore
there may be a slight size and shape variance of each piece. However,
because the moldings, aprons, and knobs are not original to the
pieces the accents of each item will be virtually the same. The
form of each piece will be identical, as well. Although each piece
will be unique in many subtle ways, they will be similar enough
to one another that you will be able to order multiples of the same
piece or to re-order the same piece and have a consistent size and
quality.
The European Country Antiques are available with special European
finishes. A waxed finish is also an available and attractive finish
to these pieces as they do arrive at our warehouse unfinished.
