August-Jackson
is a privately owned furniture wholesale company that was started
in 1998. Brett Jackson, current President and founder of the company,
had been working in the furniture business for a number of years
refinishing and repairing antiques, and running a wood shop when
he came to the realization that he would be much happier working
for himself.
At its inception,
the goals of the company were simple:
- To reclaim
objects such as barn board, hardware, antiques, and the like
- To put
a fresh spin on these artifacts in order to make them desirable,
as well as affordable within the current market.
Today, with
the help of his wife Elizabeth, and his loyal employees, Brett
and August-Jackson have achieved those goals. Since the company's
humble beginnings four years ago, it has been mentioned in the
Wall Street Journal, has been showcased in Ballard Designs, Sundance
catalog, and Ross-Simons, and was a featured manufacturer at furniture.com.
What We Do
We are a wholesale company (to the trade only) that specializes
in rustic hand-painted finishes, as well as forms that have been
reclaimed from the past. Our company is comprised of two major
lines: Rustic Barn Board
and Salvaged Accessories. In addition to our two major lines,
we offer complementing chairs and also import and finish one-of-a-kind
European Antiques.
August-Jackson
realizes that nobody knows what style of furniture will sell better
to your customers than you. Acknowledging this fact, we have included
various means of customization including a choice of leg on many
of the tables we sell, transposable paint styles, and an array
of color choices. We accept and encourage custom work, which gives
our customers limitless possibilities for how they would like
their furniture to appear when it arrives at their stores.
Where We Are Located
Located in the heart of Uxbridge within the beautiful Blackstone
Valley, we operate within a restored antique wool mill.
